Thats absolutely false; most manufacturers use the same short-wave blind spot monitoring frequencies; it just so happens some have a “long throw” opposed to a “short”but the govt has limited this in newer vehicles due to inference with police radars; not necessarily the type of vehicle, but the year, and the “on detection pop “ radar detectors are a lot more effective and is what you’re looking for. Remember you get what you pay far😉

imagine spending 100s of dollars on equipment that may or may not work when you can just not drive like an idiot for free instead.

wish there were outside mount cameras so that you can capture more that you cant typically capture though the windows. Kinda like teslas dashcameras are all mounted on the outside and allow for great viewing angles.

Got a question, new to this, and recently bought a cheap 30$ 3ch setup. Yeah I know, but I don't have a lot of extra cash so el cheapo we go. My question is: Why has no one made a dash cam with Starvis 2 for the front, Starvis 1 (or similar but cheaper) with a super wide or 360 for internal (similar build like the N4's) with options for a similar second module for the rear? 3 to 4 cameras, in two simple modules, less cables, less mess, and surprisingly decent coverage. If a third module with a 360 lens, that could be mounted in the middle of ceiling for those extra tricky angles. With some clever software it could have buffering and segment video into 2 or 3 decent combined footage clips. one for each of the front and rear and a clever way to combine the front and rear internal to the 360 center (or not if it's not there.)I trying to think what would take the least amount of processing power, several videos or one big 4K or 8K clip baking all the cameras in. Either way, any solutions like that? Or coming?

5:28 those “weird lines” are either the defroster or an antenna on the back glass. You can tell the lines curve with the rear glass which makes it very improbable that it would be a hardware/software issue. In the next shot, when you compare it to the Viofo, you can still see those lines (proving it’s not the fake 8k dashcam), but they are blurry; this is because the Viofo is an actual good dashcam that doesn’t focus on foreground elements.

Can’t wait to see this. Thinking of ditching Escort and going with Uniden. Really unhappy with my Redline 360c. Just got the dreaded “Check FR” message and have to send it back to Escort. They just had the detector in January for a premium service after it died the first time.
